Since 1989, our organisation has been committed to the Marbella-Costa del Sol economic and business framework and to promoting the brand as a first-rate tourist destination. We are currently one of the most significant interest groups in our province.

We hold meetings at the highest level with institutions and competent bodies.

Centro de Iniciativas Turísticas de Marbella, association of businessmen and professionals CIT Marbella.
More than 30 years growing together, creating companies.

We are an organisation of an associative and non-profit nature, independent of the Administration, workers’ organisations and political parties, regulated by the present Statutes, by Decree 2481/1974, of 9 August, on the Regulation of Tourist Initiative Centres, and in accordance with the provisions of Law 19/1977 of 1 April, regulating the Right to Trade Union Association and other provisions in force issued in the development and application of the same, as well as the concordant regulatory provisions.

The Association of Businessmen and Professionals, CIT Marbella was born in 1989 on the initiative of a group of hoteliers of the city, who understood the need to unite in order to represent their common interests.

From those ten businessmen, there are currently around 500 associated companies from more than 70 sectors of productive activity, who trust in the Centre for Tourist Initiatives as their spokesperson, counting on our extensive work of institutional representation and promotion of companies.

From this non-political and non-profit Association, we promote the main industry: tourism, exposing suggestions of interest for the improvement of tourism planning to official bodies of the different administrations, local, provincial, regional or national.

The Association of Businessmen and Professionals, CIT Marbella, for the third consecutive year and in collaboration with Obra Social Caixa, has given out Gift Vouchers to Cáritas Parroquial Marbella and CADI (Centro de Atención a la Diversidad Infantil).

As examples of our work to promote the city we created, together with the Marbella Town Hall, the Boulevard of Fame in Puerto Banús and, every year we hold the Business Awards dinner, where we publicly recognise the Businessman and Institution that have stood out in the exercise of their work throughout the year and the “Luis Cierco Special Award for the Promotion of Tourism in Marbella” is awarded.

The aims of the Association of Business Owners and Professionals, CIT Marbella, comprised of business owners and professionals are as follows:
